The organization overseeing the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx and Iowa Wolves has selected Ceridian HCM Holding Inc.’s Dayforce software to streamline its people processes, manage the employee life cycle and maintain compliance.
“Sports teams are companies in constant motion,” says Chris Armstrong, Ceridian’s chief operating officer. “With complex personnel challenges unique to their industry, Dayforce will help the franchise save time and work smarter, empowering its entire workforce in the process.”
The Timberwolves, Lynx and Wolves face complex regulatory requirements, including multi-state taxation as players and coaches work in multiple states during their seasons. The teams hope the Dayforce product will help ease those complex compliance situations and provide a more complete picture of their data do they can make smarter decisions.
“Our organization requires a (human capital management) solution and support team that is agile, flexible and responsive to our HR needs,” says Sianneh Mulbah, chief people officer for the teams.
Ceridian, based in Bloomington, MN, works with several other professional sports organizations, including the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans and Vegas Golden Knights.
