The Super Bowl Host Committee Wednesday released some numbers illustrating the impact of the game and the 10 days of festivities leading up to the main event.

About 1.4 million people visited the NFL Fan Gallery at the Mall of America. Another nearly 1.1 million attended Supoer Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon, during the 10-day festival, including 235,000 on Saturday, February 3, the most attended day.

“As hosts, we take great pride in the feedback we’ve heard from the Minnesotans and visitors from across the world that had a great time at our unforgettable Super Bowl festival in the Bold North,” says Maureen Bausch, CEO of the committee. “From the electric atmosphere on Nicollet Mall, to the fun and festivities at the Mall of America, to the amazing fan turn out at Opening Night at Xcel Center, we are thrilled that more than one million people shared in the celebration as we showcased <Minnesota on the largest stage.”
