Minneapolis-based Sleep Number Inc. has signed a 10-year contract to become the “Official Sleep Wellness Partner” of the Minnesota Vikings.

Sleep Number, known until a few months ago as Select Comfort Corp., will provide individualized sleep-and-performance plans for Vikings players, coaches and staff. The company also will be integrated into a variety of platforms, including the Vikings app, loyalty program. signage at U.S. Bank Stadium , game day broadcast media and community events.

“As a company founded on sleep science and innovation, we know that quality sleep has a profound effect on wellness, performance and recovery,” says Shelly Ibach, president and CEO of Sleep Number.

The company, in separate agreements, has partnered with several Vikings players, including center Pat Elflein, cornerback Terence Newman and safety Harrison Smith. The players are utilizing the Sleep Number smart ed’s adjustable firmness and learning from SleepIQ technology.

Sleep Number has 550 stores in 49 states.
